The shipper is asking for a passport copy which I don't have (haven't renewed since 2004) I also don't have a driving license currently ,I have sent my NI number instead ,do you think that should suffice?
ring and ask? i can't see why they would need you to re-apply just to prove this, ask if a friend or family member can be your "agent" if worst comes to worst?
@Lord Congi - I had a very similar situation 18 months ago when I wasn't allowed to drive for 6 months following a seizure - its amazing how everyone expects you to have a driving licence and/or passport - I too had neither - once explained people/companies soon suggest alternatives - utility bills etc being one of the most common - although they all tend to come via email now Are you having to prove who you are or your residence - birth certificate/council tax bill? etc Don't suppose you copied your licence before sending it off that you could use? (Obviously you would of copied it just to ensure when its returned after your little absence it comes back correct )
Well I've given them a copy of my payslip with tax code NI number address etc ,I went to get an identity card but you needed either a passport or driving licence to get one of those May have to apply for a passport but no idea where my old one that expired in 2004 is
Do you have any trade cards or anything with your photo on that you could use alongside a bill? I'm struggling to get phone sorted as when we first had a contract many years ago my partner put 2 phones on her contract. Now I want it just in mine so I can put bills for tax it's not easy. Particularly due to the years I spent in Spain!
