I've never seen a van from the states with clips on the fuel line...

Do you think they've managed to put it out yet or just sunk it in mud?

  5. The firefighters weren't exactly trying to very hard to extinguish the fire were they. Most of them were just standing around watching.

  6. I wouldnt be as calm as her. I would be a sobbing mess if that happened to mine.

  7. Bye hippy bus :(

  8. Shocking, mine went the same way 4 1/2 years ago, only mine burned for longer. I recon he missed the breather pipe above the leisure battery, that's what I think happened to mine. :(

  9. Funnily enough I just bought some new fuel pipes today. I thought to myself 'I'll fit them one day soon' - after watching that I'm going to do it first thing in the morning.

  12. And the moral is . . . . GET A FIRETECH SYSTEM FOR YOUR VAN. This can be prevented for around £150. Also, 2 fire extingishers and oven gloves to open the engine lid if it is hot.

A lot of you will remember the lucky escape Jen and I had. Ours was not a fuel pipe issue but an electrics/loom problem.

I think Jen will be planning something in near future in terms of a new group buy.

  13. My mate opened his garage door yesterday to see everything in the garage soaked in petrol as his bay had emptied its full tank on the floor.
Fuel lines were 5.5mm FI hose with proper clips and only 15 months old. No idea of cause yet. Not sure if the tank bottom rotted out of a line popped off.
