Some cracking toons on your show Louey. Thanks for sorting the request. Boy am I going to get some extra italian food this weekend
I was 3 minutes away from continuing after the news as Chris hadn't turned up. I could have done a few more requests from friends and family. A lovely song that She Wears My Ring. Hope you get your food ...
Lou and I were sat listening to your show and she suddenly starts singing that song and knew every word. I asked her how she knew such an old song so well and noticed she had a tear in her eye. She told me Ken the chap that helped bring her up always played this to his wife Beryl on Sunday evenings. She's such a softee
It's a birthday special next week. A pie theme sounds good Somehow I've also managed to book a dentist appointment in my birthday ...
The lady who requested it had just said goodbye to her husband whilst I was at another bed - he looked very sad to be going and she was even sadder and in a considerable amount of pain too :-( ( she had a stent put in on Tuesday) > It was a proper tear jerker when she asked for the song as she was so thankful for having the song played. Most weeks have a moment when I know I'm glad to be 'mainly' healthy (though I've had a rocky month) and glad I can count only two nights ever in hospital - one of them was this month (and I spent most of that in A&E with my mum). There is Colin who has been in there since April waiting for a heart transplant, he hardly ever moans, praises the staff and the food and always gives me a request and so does his wife - that's SEVEN months!!!!
I must admit that after listening to the show (and whilst getting ready to go to the local pub) I spent the next 50 minutes listening to Ann and Nancy Wilson (HEART) singing their back catalogue from the mid/late eighties.
