I need Archie back!

After having an amazing 6 months driving and camping last year I am desperately missing Archie!
Every time I catch a gimpse of the sun memories of fun come flooding back and its driving me nuts!
Anyone else feeling like this?
I can't wait to get him finished to meet you guys at Dent and just drive him again! ARGHHHHH

Doing all the repairs he needs underneath and then a respray, trying my hardest to get him finished for Dent otherwise we are in a transit van and pop up tent

 

Stick at it fella I'm sure you'll get it done.

 

It will be summer soon! The weather told me!

 

Nothing wrong with a transit and pop-up tent. At least you'll be out and about.

We will be in a tent tom so dont feel bad if your bus isnt ready in time

 

I'm desperate for another van but if needs must it'll be a tent for me this year.

Or a drive away awning ready for when I get the next van

 

I have the opposite problem to Tom. My van is here (in the garage actually) I just can't physically drive it anywhere, aaaaaaggggggghhhhhhhhhh.

No fun at all. In fact I can't drive anything, it's not just the bus. I'm reliant on other people to drive me around (mostly my wife) as I can't use my left leg properly, therefore can't operate a clutch. Never thought I'd say this, but I currently have envy for the poo bus at the moment with its automatic gearbox.

 

No you don't, have you been taking painkillers?

 

haha aww my dad snapped his achilles last year, was in pot for months, finally got it off and snapped it again within a week... so had to have a bigger op taking bits of tendon from his toe and go back in pot again.... it was torture for him... he was in pot and a supportive boot for half a year in the end.... drove him crazy...

hope yours will be mended sooner than that.... yeh auto is ideal lol....

Yes, but I'm rapidly running out of the best ones.

It's not so much the pain, it's more the fact that I can't bend my leg enough to actually be able to reach the clutch pedal. My surgeon said "you need to start bending that knee as much as possible, otherwise it'll seize up." Well, duh, I'm trying to, but you're the one who sliced a hole in the thigh muscle last week, remember?

 

Yer bring on the camper times. Hurry up summer.

 

I feel a little better that others may not be in buses but im so desperate to drive him its unreal, got excited when i moved him 6ft so I could work on the other side haha
