Good morning all, Yesterday apart from fitting a rev counter into the van i had to shift 4 ton of gravel, 3 ton of hard core and 100 750/600 slabs from my drive to the back garden. i had to go up three steps each time with the barrow, unfortunately i didn't have any planks to make a slope. Each time it jolted my back that little bit more. I couldn't sleep so i have just taken 2 x pain killers and then rubbed some deep heat into the affected area of my back, luckily i went to the toilet first. However as i relaxed to see what was going on on here i rested the palm of my hand on the side of my face. Now the side of my face is on fire and i have some in my eye which is streaming with tears don't know what these mean but its the colour of my face
Sounds like you've had some lime on your hands from either the base or the pavers & it is giving the burning sensation. Actually it is a mild burn, wash your hands thoroughly & then was your face & rinse your eye with cool water I'm not saying I'm correct but that's what it sounds like.
Morning, its the deep heat rub that has done it. It is one of those muscle relaxing rubs that is meant to warm the affected area. After lugging all of those materials around and bending over my back was killing i couldn't sleep so took some pain killers and rub it in. Forgot to wash my hands and then sat here reading some threads with my hand on the side of my face which then transfered what was left on my hands onto the side of my face, then i rubbed my eyes because of was tired. Now the side of my face is bright red
Yeah, thank ful for small mercies, like i say it was 1/4 to four this morning half asleep. I went to the toilet before i put the cream on my back. It could have been a whole different type of thread otherwise.
