I’m gonna say it. Transit van drivers seem less numpty than T5 drivers.

    In my humble opinion.

They just seem more aware of hazards whereas your average T5 driver doesn’t seem to have a clue. I’m talking averages from my observations, and yes I own a T5 as a daily

What’s a bender. I thought it was a drinking binge?

Out of interest, where do T4 drivers rank in the poptops school of driving chart?

  8. Agreed Poppy. Last time go up Borrowdale int Lakes, each and every one of them thought their van was three foot wider than it is. All ruddy top knots, yapping fluffy untrained little dog and back home for Country File.

  11. Mostly becuase it’s a van they use for their lively hood, not picking the kids up in.

Totally agree. The best of the best, the tip of the spear, la grande fromages, mk7 transit drivers.

I just seem to have certain vehicles in my mind and be alert to their numptyness’ alarm. We all know BMW drivers don’t indicate and that seems the rule, but generally the estate drivers are very good on motorways. I notice a lot of younger women in range rovers are very aggressive drivers, golf drivers can be aggressive too, and the T5 drivers seem like they were once golf drivers. Obviously I’m generalising and not everyone is like that, but you kind of develop a sense for these things in my job

Aggressive and impatient driving is the worst

You do realise you have just given us the green light to generalise about hgv drivers don’t you.. :D

Not me though. As a guardian reader, I think we should all be more tolerant of middle lane hogging hgv drivers..
