Hucknall/Newstead Abbey - VWs & scooters

  1. We went along and joined in the convoy from Hucknall to Newstead Abbey yesterday which had a bunch of VWs, a load of scooters and various other vehicles of interest.

We gathered in (and around) the car park in Hucknall:

The convoy itself was a bit disappointing - the scooters all left together (and if I can work out how to do it, I'll upload the video), but we ended up between a Citroen van and a load of normal cars so really it was just a drive to Newstead Abbey for us!

  3. Then we arrived at Newstead Abbey and got a few more pictures between the downpours:

There were all shapes and sizes of scooters:

From the large and very shiney -

    to the somewhat smaller -

We didn't spot any other TLBers there, though.

The guy with the scooter in the fourth pic down, S4 HOY lives a few doors away from us, he takes really good care of it!

Great pics, looks like it was a good turnout!

  8. There was a lot there - several different scooter clubs and all looking very shiney! There were also a lot of T4s & T5s (I still can't tell the difference), but didn't bother taking pics of them!
