Interesting series of photographs from English Heritage http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring...ring-heritage-from-the-air.html?frame=2951707
Interesting. Number 16 is Birmingham City Centre - you can see top right the old Masshouse Circus which has been demolished (huge concrete roundabout on stilts) - a lot of those roads have been obliterated now because of pedestrianisation, although the latest Bullring development a few years ago did put some back, although not in exactly the same places. The biggest travesty: picture 15 - Derby's beautiful 1930's art deco bus station is no longer there. I used to love that building, and so many memories of getting the bus back to my gran's house from there. I was gutted when they flattened it.
