how do you clean whitewall inserts

Hi,

My whitewell inserts havesome marks on them - tried white spirits, etc but still some black marks left.

Does anyone have any secrets to get rid of these marks?

What about white liquid shoe polish that you could once get?

I've also heard WD40 will work but don't know for sure

 

I mentioned brasso as we used to use it to clean rubber shoe sole scuff marks off floors and skirting boards

Test it on a small area first to see if it has any negative effect or as fat sam mentioned cif cream may do the trick
