How do I remove louvre window fly nets?

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by AndyC, Dec 5, 2014.

  1. I bought a repair kit for the fly nets for my louvre windows.

Question is, how do I get the fly net out?

Anyone know if I do it whilst on the van, or if I remove the flynet in a frame and do it off the van?

  2. I could do with the same info. Also, how do the frames fit onto the windows? Some piccies would be really good:thumbsup:

If it’s a Westy lift the fly-net frame slightly until it is clear of the bottom edge of the window frame, then pull inwards.

  4. Sweet.
So I don't even need to use a hammer?
    This is good news! LOL

  5. if they're anything like the devon and riviera nets, the actual mesh is held in place with a strip of wire...i made some for my devon and used some (1mm sq singles) electrical cable....cut the mesh oversize, knock in the cable, pull the mesh, knock in the cable...and so on...trim the mesh to suit

  6. I removed my riviera mesh by taking the frame out, leaning it against a fence. Then half hour later forget it's there and step backwards into it. The mesh comes straight out and attaches itself to your shoe. Easy.
