  1. Hi all Just purchased my first Micro bus 1977 beauty. I have an ugly wheel mount on front which i would like to replace with a badge. So how can I cover these excess holes in my front panel? any ideas greatly received??

    Weld, filler, gaffer tape....
Depends if you're doing any other work to your front panel really.

  3. A spare wheel will cover it. :)

  4. Welding it is then

    cheers

  5. does the badge not align straight in with where the holes are? as i know mine did after i took the bracket off.

  9. My holes look like bullet holes without stickers on, but might get me some of those, will look better than gaffer tape

mine had rubber grommets in them, I took them out and refitted a wheel carrier, they've gone now.

  11. That's a funny looking roof on that prototype bay.

  12. Didn't Devon do a limited run of Apex roof conversions, based on the beach chalet look? ;)

  16. It's a late bay, crossover, and it's the garage roof

The other late late bay (one on the right) is a Riviera and is now at its new home.

I had a front mounted tyre growth of a thing , took it off along with the mount bracket leaving the threaded fixing plugs 3 or 4 of if i can remember .It had a superb spray job prior to me buying it so desperate to try and get round hiding the holes without filling or re spraying front panel . Here came the lucky bit for me and could be for you to . The new plastic chrome look vw badge completely hid all holes , better still i drilled two small holes on the outer ring of the badge which lined up perfectly even on both sides , bought two stainless steel domed screw headed bolts and screwed them to threaded plugs already there as you can see on my profile picture.
