if you look under the dash - left hand side, you will see a rectangular plate with a series of numbers on - if you can get an image of it & post it up, some kind soul off here will decipher it

This is how it works without the decoder: Look at the bottom line of your m plate. The first two numbers will tell you the week, the third number stands for the day of production. For example: If you have a 1976 model, 49 3 stands for 3rd of december 1975 (model year 1976 started in august 1975!), while 15 3 would be 7th april 1976.
