Hot Water Anywhere

  1. Only heats to 25degC above input temperature. Just boil a kettle.

Edit: higher with a recirc loop, so ok if you want a shower, presumably stood outside the van?

Still think I'd just boil a kettle.
Store it in with the Westfalia crumpet toaster in the right-faff cupboard and buy a Winnebago instead.

The Campervan Culture people did a review on one of these a few years ago. One of their Moroccan travel videos demonstrates it iirc. I sort of get it, but they do seem quite a bit of a faff and are reasonably bulky.
I see the attraction if you're surfers etc, coz it's pretty easy to use and convenient.
Yes you can have a hot shower, but equally you can spend 15 quid on a 12v shower head and pump attachment, boil a kettle and mix it with cold in a water container.
    That's what we do:thinking:

  3. When we were travelling yhis is what we did, A Kelly kettle is great for heating the water (takes a few fills but once the fire is going its pretty quick). I like the idea of these heat exchanges we saw in Australia (water cooled only:().
