Hoses for Air box????

  1. I have 3 smaller hoses coming from my Air Box on my Van and they all go to nothing, my van runs and generall cuts out at every junction so I thought I'd try the simple stuff first, I have looked to see if I can find a link through Google but no such luck, so, where they go please, AND, I think I have a Beetle engine not a Van engine, if that makes any difference???

Any pics of your engine/air box? On my T1 engine, which has an oil bath filter (older tyoe) I have 3 hoses, one from the oil filler neck to the oil bath filter, two small hoses on the top of the filter, one to the manifold, and the other to the valve air control valve on the oil filter.

  3. Is your air box plastic or metal?

They are fuel vent piles and are crucial to the running and your safety from engine fire. Pop a picture up and we will advise you.

  5. Cool, I'll get a phot on Friday and Ad, it has a Plastic Air box if that makes any difference, I know the main one goes from the oil filler up, but then I'm lost. I will update with photos ASAP.
