Hi all, Got a quick question.. What sort of an adaptor do I need to plug in my hook up cable? I just cant find anything that fit it out there... Cheers arek
That's a 120 Volt USA spec NEMA connector. EDIT: No it's not - as others have pointed out, it's a male Schuko plug which is common in Europe. You need a 16Amp CEE plug to female Schuko lead.
Surely a European schuko plug? If this is it and you can't find a new one I have an old one you can have.
Oops - I think you're right. I didn't look closely enough! Ignore what I said earlier - it's a Schuko. Double check it's 230V, but should be ok. You just need a 16A CEE plug to female Schuko lead.
Yes..forgot to mension..its a schuko indeed..eu one.. Spent quite while looking for an adaptor..but didnt know what to looking for really.. Thank you guys Cheers Arek PS Andyv you got pm..
You could buy one of these, cut the plug off and fit a 16A CEE17 plug (camping hook up plug). You could even get two, and put a 13A plug on the other one for easy plugging in at home. http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/trailing-sockets-power-distribution/0296416/ Suitable 16A plugs: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/industrial-power-connectors/4646183/ http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/industrial-power-connectors/7249088/ If you just want a Schuko cable socket: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/mains-connectors/0384695/ http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/mains-connectors/7134346/ Note - there's no guarantee these Schuko sockets will actually fit inside your hook-up flap, but it does look like there's plenty of room around the plug.
Wow..great help thanks I ve been looking for these but was not sure if they fit the socket but yeah it looks like they do.. If deal with Andyv fails I will get one of them Cheers Arek
this thread has great work by someone called 'olnow' that might help: http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/westy-mains-hook-up-question.33756/#post-586179
Deffo Schuko inlet. I suggest using a standard lead with a short adapter IE UK ceeform pug and Schuko trailing socket. The one you have will have glass fuses in the back of it too so if you plug in and it doesnt work theres where to look! Also common on some older lawnmower leads!!
