As a recently redundant former 'bank manager' (the good kind) I find myself currently enjoying a few months of leisure time before getting off my backside to find a job. With some of my redundancy payment and a fortuitous PPI mis-sell pay-out the Mrs & I decided to fulfill one of our dreams. It wasn't to be the combined record shop & tea room this time (that's for when we win the lottery) but we went for a T2 instead Whilst we would have loved a splitty, we ultimately decided that it wouldn't be practical as a camper for a 6ft+ men, his wife & three dogs. So . . . we decided on a late Bay and, after weeks of shopping around (and we saw some real, overpriced dogs), in Jan 2016 we settled on a late Bay that VW DownUnder were selling on behalf of its owner. At the time if was called "Goldfinger" and, whilst we loved the Bond connection, the name wasn't for us. Instead she became "Honey Rider". This is a bit of a pun from "Dr No": Honey Ryder was Ursula Andress's character and we thought that changing the last name to "Rider" would work rather well. The aim is to subtly change Honey to build a James Bond them. Ejector seats are likely to be too difficult but we are looking for inspiration. One definite is the inclusion of a projector so that we can watch Bond films out the back gate onto a screen. If we can find a projector/screen combo that will also work inside the van . . . . even better!

if you have a overhead locker at the back you could get a mini projector and then a curtain or pull down screen behind the back of the front seats....that would work.. welcome to the mad house.......... where the best place to get a o%bank loan
I was thinking of using the locker and a screen in the very place you mention. Both will have to be removable though so I can watch films outside. Just imagine watching a good James Bond at night on your own out in the wilds! As for the loan - they are all much of a muchness at the end of the day!
Here are some pics of Honey. The first one is her all dirty after a round trip to Norwich as her first real outing. She's since had a bath & is currently tucked up in her blanket waiting for a dry day. Hopefully there will be one soon!
hahhaaaaaaaaaa, one thing i won't miss with no lhd now is some sites made me drive in to my pitch so the awning was on the correct side.....
