Yes it is ok to plan ,it's after Christmas... I am off the Alps and central massive on route... Looking forwards to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Annecy ,looks ace.... This year, I explored our region more than I eved had and hope to get loads of day trips in... and the downside of the year , it looks like I have a haul my ass to England... (but kinda going to try and enjoy)... If my daughter gets into university at Toulouse , I can see a few trips on the cards ..(perfect location if you like biking) So have you any plans?
None so far tho will endeavour to use the campers more this year.n I may have to downsize my fleet as all the taxes and insurances would be better spent on maintenance, possibly
We've just planned our late June road trip plus a few weekenders and some one nighters. Beadnell Bay/Seahouses and Alnwick Tan Hill Inn Runswick Bay Derbyshire Plus lots more!
Lake Annecy is beautiful, we've been a few times. Lots of campsites, cycling & mountain walks. As you probably know some of le Tour has been through that area. @volkswombat was pleased with himself when he rode some of the mountain stages. Will look forward to your photos!
Suppose I'll have to get my boat out more. Especially after next sept when I go down to 4 days. The wife drops Monday from April I did think about dropping Friday but didn't think she would be impressed. So from the new school year sept I'm dropping Monday. Life is too short to worry about work all the time.
Might head to see friends up in the Pyrenees, but not in the van. By the time I got there it'd be time to turn round and head back! But otherwise just use the camper a lot more than last year if I can.
No. I was planning a big trip this year, but Lou decided that the trouble with isis and all that wasn't worth the risk. If I do any travelling this year it will probably be alone.
Bring on the holidays..... Our second kiddy is due in a few weeks so Caroline is on maternity leave for a year- once the dust settles hope to have lots of holidays We have a holiday to Portugal early May booked - the baby will Be 3 months by then so if anyone is flying Bristol to Alvor I apologise for what, experience tells me, will be a horrific ordeal for all on that easyjet flight. Thinking of France in the Van in the summer but after this ....http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/weve-gone-on-holiday-by-mistake.40699/ I'm going to decide at a later date. Hope for plenty of weekends camping at some fav local campsites too.
Let's put it this way Malc there was not many weekends we was at home. We visit it for the day or weekend. Didn't get it out as often as I wanted but it's good to use it as a room away from home. Let me know if you still fancy a visit.
