had my '79 super viking since last summer, many fun times on the south coast last year, surfing and scuba diving. now in the process of getting the van upto scratch, just looking forward to being able to get out and do some work not in sub zero temperatures!.... got a set of dells that *need* fitting usually have the assistance of my 13 year old daughter who is very happy getting her hands dirty
Welcome, I've got one of those handy 13 year olds too, can't get her to do much else but as soon as its work on the van shes right in there.
Cheers guys, icepug, nice to see a fellow super viking user! you dont see many about. loving getting the van running sweet, so far we have done a fair bit, mostly the fun stuff tho, new stainless exhaust, 123 vac dizzy and engine HT, shocks and brakes... next is the handling, try soome uprated rollbars new wheels fix up the interior a bit and get the *funky* electrics fixed!
problems with my zig... the main battery connected to the leisure battery connector and the leisure battery not even connected... a funky immobiliser box thing that needs taking out... and some of the thinest wire i have ever seen connected to a battery
the upstairs is amazing... have slept 4 up there no problem and you dont have to mess about converting the downstairs. i just love the fact i can stand up without stooping. More pictures to follow, i just need to find a friendly garage that will "rent a ramp" in darkest somerset! with the high top it wont fit in my garage
