Help transporting camper from Derbyshire to Devon

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by DriftingBear, Oct 11, 2012.

  1. I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my imported camper from the USA - it's arriving in Derbyshire in a few weeks. As I'll need to get the camper MOT'd and various other things before I take it on the road, I'm looking for a transportation company to transport it from Derbyshire to Exeter for me.

Does anybody know of any companies they could recommend?

    Cheers.

Phil's a sound chap based in North Manchester, he's also VW mad so would look after your bus. Seemed pretty reasonable too when I priced up a job.

  8. Wow, thanks everyone. Very helpful. I've emailed all of your suggestions so I'll see who comes back with the best price.

    Cheers! :D

  9. I moved mine from the docks to home using Shiply, which was cheap. At the time, I wasn't that concerned about the 'quality' of the job as it was pre-restoration anyway.

I have since used a guy called Rod Tinnion to move the semi-completed van around and would recommend him highly. He specialises in classics and is incredibly careful with your pride and joy. http://www.rodtinnion.co.uk/ He is very unlikely to beat Shiply on price though.
