I have a Dec 74 with a CM gearbox on a type 1 1600 engine with a grinding reverse gear. I know CM boxes are well rare and normally have a longer input shaft for type 4 engines. What can I transplant in quick until I have the CM rebuilt? A CE box? What about a CU or does that have a longer input shaft for 1600 type 4 commercials? Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
