Help?? Anybody local in Essex?

Hi, I've been trying to get the bus running, just to tick over would be good! I've had the carbs off and replaced the gaskets without adjusting any settings, replaced and put everything back together. It starts then dies, would anyone local be able to spare me some time to get the bus to tickover? Appreciate assistance and obviously there will be some lunch and fuel costs taken care of! I'm near Saffron Walden, thanks

 

Im down in southend but without a car so cant really get to you. did you make sure your idle jets were clear?? there was an awfull lot of crud in those carbs looking at the picture. removing the jets, cleaning them and refitting will not upset much so take them out and make sure they areent blocked.

Lardy, sorry mate but although I am in Essex I'm still green behind the ears when it comes to muchanicks.
Just some thoughts though (and I do not know if they are relevant) but is the choke working and are all your various vacuum pipes back on ?

Thanks Lofty, all is as is and it was running fine, took the manifolds and carbs off and when replaced I put all new gaskets on too so I'm assuming dare I use the word that it should be better than before?

 

Did you leave a clamp on the petrol pipe?
