been having problem getting the van to idle once engine is warm so my friend (mechanic) sorted my bus set the carb and choke and every thing was going well took it for a long run and every thing was fine. jumped in it to go home tonight drive 3 miles pulled onto my drive and it just died before i could get the handbrke on, then it just wouldn t start left it for 30mins and it started and ticked over no problem, but drive it for a bit and it dies when it feels like it could it be a fuel pump issue, i have a spare thinking of slapping it on just to rule that out ?? any other ideas ???
Check your little idle screws rubber washer has'nt perished in the carb and letting air passed, i fitted a new carb on a bug last week and could'nt get it to idle once hot, tried everything then took the screw out to discover it did'nt have a rubberwasher put one on and its as sweet as a nut and make sure the carbs tightened down right
