Hi TLB peeps, my name is Dave but most call me Robo. I joined the TLB looking for info, advice, inspiration and like minded late bay owners and I can honestly say I have found this and much much more by joining TLB. I'm not currently an owner although I have owned a couple of old Bugs the last was ten years ago, I have a passion for all things VW and have a collection of models mugs and all sorts of Bug & camper parafinalia which I love. My family is growing with two rugrats aged 7 & 2 so a camper would allow us to get out and about for weekends away by the coast without the stress of pitching a big tent and setting up only to take it all down a day or two later! I have looked at many campers which fall within my budget but most needed or would need a healthy bank balance to get them sorted but with a young family and a wife to feed and water I had decided that a T4 or T5 was to be the most reliable and cost effective way of getting us out and about camper style! But then last week a mate mentioned his brother who already owns a T2 was looking at one another friend of his had for sale, he told me all about it and showed me pics and a list of work which has been done to it and it sounded like a real good buy, then Monday his brother said no he was going to get his camper (Trevor) sorted and didn't have time for another. Apparently the guy was going to lob it on eBay, so I said send me a pic and give me all the info, well to cut a long story short I have sorted the cash and I'm going to look at it tomorrow and if it's as good as the pics etc. then I shall become the proud owner of a late bay! I need to get a few bits sorted before we can use it as a family, full width r&r plus belts for the kids, which is why I joined TLB forum and have gained some understanding of what I need to achieve this. Please note I shall probably be asking lots of the same questions that others have and I promise to search the forum before posting to check but I find as time goes by and new products enter the market then some people's views or recommendations may change. I shall update this topic once I have seen the camper tomorrow! Fingers crossed. Thanks for reading, Dave (Robo)

Thank you all, must admit its all I can think about at the mo, to say I'm excited is an understatement! If it turns out to be the one then I shall post pics, well as soon as I've worked out how to add them that is! I won't sleep tonight and the drive will take for ever tomoz! Anyone know of any local meets or other late bay owners around the Leicester area? Laterz Peeps...
