I think I should have taken some pictures first, I'll do them tomorrow...honest! We just had a payout from a PPI claim (we are on that bandwagon as well) that we were going to use clear a credit card bill BUT whilst browsing around on Vzi I happened to spy a late bay Danbury 12 seat Microbus for sale and thought that looks more fun than being responsible To cut a long story short we collected it today. This is not our first Dub but it is our first venture into van ownership and I'm confident that parts will be a lot easier to source than they are for my 412 Variant and my 411 Sedan (currently being restored). As well as the 2 Type 4s we also have a '71 Beetle. Look forward to catching up with some of you around at shows etc during the year, Shawn
It's great to see you on here hope you have a lot of fun they are a friendly bunch and get some pics on here as soon as possible be good to see ya bus.
Time for some promised pics Behind my 412 Not the prettiest van in the world I'll admit but tis very solid where it counts Removed the buddy seats from the bukhead earlier as they were pretty useless as seats And no holes in the headlining, it's just a bit grubby round the edges, any ideas what to use to clean it?
our rather sorry looking 411 2 door sedan, more work than we first thought but worth it due to their scarcity and Denises' bug
Thanks for the welcome guys. I didn't realise that the mini buses were getting rarer, although with all the camper converts around it's no real surprise. But as we have this we don't need a camping interior, just a towbar! And for those who don't know what it is, it's a 1978 Rapido Confort folding caravan that tows like this
