Just a quick one to you all before i go outside to work on my new best buddy named Jenny [the van that is]. looking forward to looking at everybodys Bays and get some advise when needed ,and give advise if i have it. Ive had quick cars ,lots of them ,but the time has come to chill a bit .So i now have an absolutely [in my eyes] wonderfull vw again. Had an prototype bay about 5 years ago and it was a mare of a van to work on so now decided to get one without TOOOOOO much work needed. How wrong lol. Ive totaly stripped the inside and repaneled everything in black,new trim ,new handles,winders ,headlining[not black] ,built pods for the amazing stereo system , took out the rock n roll and fitted a bench seat ,all new seatbelts front and back,soundproofed it all etc etc etc .I am going out now to take up the laminate floor to run the stereo cables and then off up to the guy whos rebuilding my engine to give him the new pistons and barells because after i got it home on a trailer i found that the pistons had been put in wrong and oil was running out the exhaust lol. if i dont laugh i will cry. Just need to remove the Devon roof and get a paris sunroof in ,then a few more bits and its MOT time ,cant wait. I have other interests --- massive Stephen King fan, collect all his books and met him twice. Love good music ,mainly underground scene . Like xbox live ---- cant wait for Battlefield 3 lol. Thanks everybody for the welcome, sorry for a late reply. I am going to busfreeze, see you there.Hope to have some pics soon as i can work out how to do it, computers are not my strong point lol. Unfortunately i wont be going in the bus as i am still waiting for the engine to be rebuilt. The prob is that i have now been sent 2 sets of pistons and barrels this last 10 days and both were no good .Both sets having defects, and thankfully my engine builder refused to use them. Coolair say they will have another set next week. I m now considering if i should have the cylinder heads flowed while they are out as this could really benifit the engine as its got a CB cam and twin 44 carbs and empi full exhaust and header. They will only charge £50 ,is it worth doing?
