  2. Hi Wendy and Simon.
We love being "bored" with piccies of peoples projects, before and after.
Which sites have you found for interiors? Thats my dept too! Lol. Mark can deal with the engine and bodywork, I might break a nail lol.
Tbh we have been warned against things like bugjam as we will have a 5yr old and a baby (due in Jan). I think we will start with smaller ones next year but im itching to get going and really cant wait. I do honestly think im more excited than Mark!
How long have you had Dulcie?
Love my bus? Hell yeah! I cant stop going on about it to whoever will listen!

  3. I know what you mean, I think it's becoming an obession LOL!! We've had Dulcie for 3 weeks and took several trains up to Cumbria to get her. We live on the Kent/Sussex border so it was a mission and a half but we saw her and fell in love.

There's some good sites like Maddubbers and The cosy campers for curtains etc and for cupboards etc check out Volks mad. I used to love sites for clothes and shoes now I'm on VW heritage and just kampers all the time - I warn you, it takes over your life!

If you want small shows next year then try for the Kent VW bus show, I think it's new but we got handed a flyer at Oktober fest, it's on at the end of July. Brighton Breeze is also on next October and a bit more local.

We're still wanting to get away before winter really starts and maybe thinking of Final Fling but it's in North Devon... 4 hours in a car.....6 in our bus....at a push..... haha

Keep us posted about your baby,

    Wendy & Si

  4. You dont live far from us then!
6 in your bus how do you all fit in? Big awning? Will try to get to Brighton as got ages to plan for that one.
How old are your kids? Im after any tips for taking baby away lol. Im due the 8th Jan and really cant wait to start camping again. Bit nervous about taking a tiny tiny one away though.
Sorry for all the questions but i feel like im begining to breathe VW! Lol

  5. Sorry I meant 6hrs not 6 kids LOL!! Kids love camping and your 5 year old will think it's a big adventure. We got talking to a couple last week with a baby and they were camping all through the summer with no probs. I'd recommend electric hook up for a little bit of luxury, Si installed a kit from Just Campers and you can buy a mini heater, plug in DVD player and have lights...You can get great awnings from places like lightenimng leisure. It's like home from home, we love it.

  6. That was my fault i miss read your post lol.
Weve been camping before (she hangs her head in shame) we had a caravan, then decided a bus was a better idea so had a T25 (asbo, now known as Mollie). We went away once in him then Mark decided to chop that in for a "better one". From the start i couldnt stand it. So much so it didnt even get named but we did go away in that too. Im so glad i managed to convince him to get rid of that one and get "Rosie".
Im just after a few tips for camping with a baby thats only a few weeks/mths old.
Will pm you back now as Mark was on here earlier and has gone so the laptop is mine lol.
Oh yes we decided on Rosie but Oliver will still want to call "him" Fillmore. Oh well a much loved camper with 2 names!

  7. Welcome to TLB  I kept telling my missus ours was a girl bus, but she insisted it was a boy and between her and Birdy on here my bay is now called, wait for it........

    Colin.
