Someone must have either had theirs repaired / refurbed or bought new ones. Having looked over many websites the prices seem to vary from a couple of hundred a pair to a couple of hundred each. I guessing they are different quality. Are the cheaper ones as good as the dear ones or would it be false economy?
I got a pair from GSF (1700 type 4 engine) that did a good job and were used for about 4 years. I have just replaced them with genuine used VW ones as they are supposed to be better than aftermarket ones. I can't comment on the difference until I pick the bus up next week end though. I will be selling my old ones soon if you are interested.....
VWH do 'best quality' & standard repro ones... Don't know how good they are but they do state improved fins & construction.. http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares...09521_lang_EN_country_GB.htm?crumbStartPage=1 Don't know if anyone on here has tried them..
I wouldent mind a look at the actual fins on the best quality vwh ones to see if there the same as the original german ones If they are then it would save a few quid on importing og spec ones from the states
