  1. so removed exchangers for insp. and repair , one flap is adrift , question is guys , if i leave it as it is ,once refitted only thing will be cold air floating about up towards cab ?? and , running vehicle wiv exchangers off , should be ok ? i" m thinking, if i were to go thru a mega puddle at speed (ok how likely is that!) be a lot of cold water sloshing around , so poss. of damage? ta for advice/opinions.

  2. You'll probably get it started without HEs but you wouldn't want to try and drive. If you want rid of the HEs you'd need to repalce with J tubes.

  3. Ta for that Ginger, as i had to move bus a bit, i fired her up and very quickly switched her off ! the bleedin" noise , ended up doing a full on repair job to heat exchangers , took a while but glad i did it.

  4. As you've probably noticed, the heat exchangers are part of your exhaust... ;)
