Mate , seen inside em ?. you will have people on here who have made tin cups outa them and drank vodka on Snowden from it - i haven't seen inside one though soz :(

  3. no , can"t say i have, thou" one of mine is just worn thru" and at mo working ok, i.e. does not seem to be effecting exhaust/carb workings

  4. blowing or popping??
it could be leaking from one of the joints...on the head or to the silencer or the tail pipe...
start it up....put a rag in your hand and cover the tail pipe while your glamorous assistant lightly revs the engine while you look/listen/feel for any exhaust gas leaking out...
remember red hot exhaust gasses will eventually burn through a pin hole and make it bigger.
popping...air could be getting drawn in or unburned fuel from the engine could be ignighting in the silencer...
exhaust gasses leaking into the heat exchanger and getting into the cab is bad news...i suspect you would smell it but you might not.....get it checked or co test inside....i wouldnt thing newish exchangers would leak like that from the inside out.

  5. The pipes inside (I have x-ray vision :) ) are pretty thick and unlikely to leak. More likely a joint somewhere.
