Hello. I have a non standard exhaust setup on my bay.. Which has the 4 into 1 header pipe followed by the exhaust silencer (bugpack thing) Meaning theres no standard silencer pods for the fresh air hoses to connect too. Is there a pipe that connects the fresh air outlets on the fan housing to the exchangers directly or is it a bodgit and scarper job to make them fit? Thanks!
You can get the slightly longer corrugated aluminium hoses from JK, these extend from the fan housing down to the heat exchanger..pop a jubilee clip on each end & it'll work Ive done it on our '73
What mork said, Run the tubes straight through the tinware (with rubber seals, if you want to be fancy), and connect them directly to the H/E. Only usual prob is keeping them clear of the exhaust, but it can be done. You don't need the "pods" any more.
