Im really interested in making a trailer for my bus.. but i dont really know where to start. id like it to be sort of a custom trailer using the same rear corner/lights as the bus and with the same standard 14 vw steelies. it also has to be less than 500kg. Its only going to be used for 3-4 bikes and biking gear. anyone made a trailer before and have any tips or pics? im unsure how i would get the wheels on and suspension etc. i think i could probably make the base structure from box section steel and then add the latch to the front.
I've built a few, best bet is to get a ready built trailer and strip the box off and start from there. That way you have all the correct bits'n'bobs plus a straight chassis.

I've just kicked off a trailer project. Have a late bay shell, engine cover, rear hatch and a trailer bed. Ill be putting build photos up as soon as the shell is back from the blasters.
