Not long had my bus which has been lowered via beam adjusters - not sitting mad low, but I do want to put it down one more notch. Ride is fine in terms on normal raods and speed bumps are fine, but if you go over any potholes it is very harsh and you can feel every bang through the bus. Could this be because no-one has changed the shocks and they are near the extent of their travel? What shocks would you recommend and are they easy to change. It would say its been dropped about 3 inches, its not in the weeds - say a couple of inches between the top of the tyre and the wheel arch. thanks
Mine came lowered 4 inches with standard shocks. While showing Steve from SGS the noises of my front wheel bearings and smacking down hard on a small bump, he suggested fitting shorter gas shocks. This he did and now it only rubs on corners sometimes. It has really made a difference. More damping from the shocks and no more banging. Firmness rather than sloppiness.
