Well, that is defo a Torx - but should it be? otherwise we are back to not using security bits for heavy duty work.
Why did car manufacturers change to torx headed bolts there awfull things compared to a hex headed bolt.
Because hex heads are awful and round off. Torx much better if you're assembling stuff at the factory with an air driver.
There a nightmare when they have been underneath a car for many years though I’d rather have to deal with a hex head bolt with rounded corners than a torx where the splines crumble with corrosion.
