I bought a starter motor for my boat engine the other week, and it came with the expected Haribo!.

 

I bought a large bag of Haribo Starmix, and it came with a free Empi quiet pack.

I bought an exhaust bracket from JK and they sent Gwyneth Paltrow round for a bit of a snog.

Now that's service! Didn't bring any Haribos with her, mind.

 

She did, but she had hidden them somewhere..

There you go, some pictures finally.
It's basically the same as if was when it was on the road, with the exception that last month The Storm Brian got too vigorous and dislodged the mammoth viking roof.

 

So it's strapped on for my neighbours safety.
And he likes a strap on.

 

Currently thinking is remove engine and any thing that can be sold and have the shell taken away for scrap.

 

I would honestly dredge up what enthusiasm you can muster and get it going so it's a sort of runner. Makes more sense than taking the engine out, IMHO.

 

I think (but have no real idea) that restoring old buses is not so popular as it once was due to the cost of the parts. Time was restoring one was a cheap way to get a reasonable bus if you put the hours in. Parts were so cheap and plentiful people would give them away. I think it's cheaper to just buy one these days and cut out the agro which just leaves people who do it for fun.
