Ive began my drive back from Spain to France and have stopped for first night. Sarah had to fly home last week as her mum was ill but I’m picking her up from Girona airport tomorrow to complete the drive to calais with me. I’m on the coast a couple of hours South of Barcelona and came into the hotel to ask how much a room for myself for tonight with evening meal and breakfast. I paid a bit extra for sea view tho by the time I’d ponced about and parked it had gone dark! I can hear it tho and will see it tomorrow morning these are photos of my room in 4 star hotel. I paid 12.5 euros extra to park in underground garage as car full. Also I didn’t use tolls today so saved a bit
Cue drum roll...... 43 euros including buffet dinner and breakfast!!!! With sea view balcony room!!! Que chulo! I’m off to check out dinner now. I think I’m only English person here. I’ve even put shirt and trousers on! Tho trainers don’t help!! what they don’t realise is that I’m smart.....for me
Remind them that over the centuries we’ve given their arses a right kicking on many occasions. Then pay the bill in pesetas.
A place I stayed in once I had to fix the boiler for them ,turned out the lpg had run out and no one had switched the feed back on after the lpg tank had been refilled
the reception lady did give me two door keys even tho I said I was alone! Maybe I had a kind of gigolo air about me
