Max saw it first but I grabbed it as he can be rough with such things.

i feed them every day , i just have to put me hand out the winda and they appear , some say if ye stick breadcrumbs to the inside of the winda they head butt them selfs to death

 

Yes we gave a paid that nest in ou golden/yellow cheery tree amongst other places around here.

 

We have pheasants that come to the door to be fed. When it's really cold and they're really hungry they'll eat out of our hands.

One day...when it's really cold and I'm really hungry....maybe around Sunday lunchtime.....

 

i sit and watch them wash in the garage gutters lots of fun

 

A swallow flew into out kitchen today n got stuck behind the window. Managed to get hold of the poor wee beastie before it did any harm to itself. No pics, if I had the gift of clairvoyance and knew TW was going to start this "bird in hand" thread I might have taken one. Alas, no.

 

We have wood pigeons that sh*t on my car. I may buy a shotgun.

 

Don't encourage them. I normally set the dogs on them.

 

Just been watching a shrew running around the patio.

 

we had that problem until I got two passing gypsies to take the tree down.

we had blue tits in a box by the kitchen window they provided a lot of entertainment squeezing in and of the box to feed the chicks.we missed the chicks leaving the nest as we were away for 3 days .They do have a second breeding season in good weather.

We have two blue tits nesting in a bird box in our garden.
I paid a small fortune for a lovely looking bird box then got it home and the instructions read that it had to be placed in an area out of sight hidden behind ivy or a climbing plant. So really there was no need to buy one that looked so nice.

Interesting watching their behaviour.

 

I feel your pain. My car currently looks like its been paint balling:-(
