A few weeks ago we had flat battery issues ,the battery is less than a year old , now never having owned a battery charger in my life , i had 2 choices jump start or buy a charger , so we jumped it and 2 days later its flat again , so 2 more choices , get the battery checked over from the supplier or check to see if its charging ok .. i did both and it turned out the alternator was kaput. So back i go to my favourite european car parts supplier , wait for a week for the wrong alternator to come ,send it back , then take in my alternator to have it rebuilt waited 2 weeks and fitted it yesterday and guess what ,the bearing wants to leave the mothership and be on its own somewhere else. so this morning i took the bus to my favourite european car parts suppilier to have a whinge , a small crowd gatherd around the engine to listen to the offending bearing and were all in agreeance , the manger has promised me a refund and in the meantime i have orderd a rebuilt alternator from megabug, being deliverd soon, i hope
Well the new alternator came from megabug , thats like super fast , they also had the clips and rubbers for the top of the carbs that i was missing
Not yet the new alternator only arrived 1 hour ago i might have to send it back as its got a point where it sticks as you turn it
