  1. Currently I have a monza 4 tip exhaust (sports) not really noticed the sport anyhow I'm thinking of going back to a standard exhaust is this a good idea I have a K&N twin carburettor on there it's a 1600 engine cheers guys

  2. The monza exhaust is terrible

However if you have aftermarket twin carbs you may want to invest in a more free flowing exhaust than stock
Saying that the monza four tip is more restrictive than a stock exhaust

I had a monza on mine for 8 years, until I sold the engine. It was as good when it went as when I bought the bus.
Don't believe the hype about Monza's. If its a proper one (not Empi crap) they're fine.

  5. I have twin carburetter but its not twins its the K&N that still sits on top of the engine, where do you get free flowing exhausts all i can ever find is EMPI exhausts??

Even VWH and JK sell 4 into 1 quiet pack exhausts. The equal length pipes of 4 into 1 help.
Several of the stainless exhausts are larger bore than stock. Vintage Speed have a good range.
There is a scan of an article out on the Internet you can find explaining the Monza belief . Somebody tried different exhausts and the particular setup they had showed the Monza and stock were the lowest powered.
