Turkey - really? Do you like it or is it just traddition... I'm not in favour of it myself, it's dry and tasteless I reckon. Goose? It's all fat. Duck - yeah, just about - I could go with that. This year seeing as it's just me and the uncommunicative son, we're pushing the boat out and having a chicken. So what you all having?
Turkey isn't dry if done right it's a rip off though..... i bought a crown today i'll be shoving a onion inside it and putting it in a big roasting tray upside down in water, half way through spin her over and drop some bacon on the top and finish off, take it out a good hour before dinner is ready to rest and bob's your uncle.
Due to unforeseen circumstances we are spending christmas day on our own so we are gona take van down to seafront n have soup , a lobster , n a cream cake n lick fingers : if its not to marmitey :-
Chicken is on the menu so I believe. Have had turkey in the past but there was always the suspicion that they had walked a long way in order to reduce refridgeration and transport costs before they got to us... kind of put me off. )
Christmas day its a big fry up with all the trimmings including black pud, sausages and bacon from our friends pig.
