Glovebox lid flaps about ...

A trivial matter to bother the collective with, but it's annoying me... When shut, the glovebox lid doesn't quite, it stays one about 1/4 inch... Ive tried adjusting the hinge screws in every position possible but can't get the thing to close fully... Am I missing a trick? Can you get them with latches? Should it have a latch? Lol..

 

Mines got a latch, dunno if they still do them new with one though?

 

The springs should hold it shut. Is it warped? Should normally be adjustable on the hinge screws.

 

Sounds like its not adjusted properly. Make sure the area where the hinge screws to isn't buckled. Being sprung loaded hinges they should hold shut flat against the dashboard.
