Glastonbury 2016

  1. Reckon it's a good 7+ hrs drive for us so going down on Tuesday and stopping in a premier inn or travel lodge nearby, then on Wednesday won't be so knackered !
good gig for coldplay, ELO should be cool too, but I've also been told/ advised to check out the fringe stages they can be surprising .

  3. That would be good news on the pass. I have a mad ruch every year to try and get Humphrey ready. At the moment he is MOT less, no engine and bit s everywhere from the engine bay. fingers crossed I get him sorted.

I have thought about a small tent to pitch inside too. The advice about seeing areas away from the main spots is spot on. I look forward to hearin about everyones adventures.

  4. Ooh. If your mate wants to sell it do PM me. I'm pretty sure to get a pass in April but all the camper places have gone now. Going in a bay to Glasto us the ultimate thing!

  5. ... Forgot to say, of course if Humphrey doesn't want it!

  6. No worries ! your on the list.

  7. Last time I went was when I took my own sound system and had an illegal party outside Glastonbury it was the last time my "Tribe" did this (stinky pink sound system)

the headline line up is a bit dull this year but there is a strong rumor ZZtop will be on Friday to make up for it

  11. Every body I've spoke to today is not overly impressed with the headliners, need AC/DC or similar to liven things up !..... all a bit 'girley' ( no offence ladies) :D

  12. 3 Headliner's for me this year in no particular order AC/DC , George Thoroughgood and the destroyers and Madonna ! that would live'n the place up, or would you differ ...........

I think, as you say, ELO should be great. The headliners don't inspire it has to be said, but with so many stages, and great music you won't have heard before to "discover", this won't be a problem. You might want to think about how you're going to transport kiddies around from stage to stage, it is bloody huuuuuge :D
