Gigs from the past

From my days at University of Edinburgh



The Eldest Unmarried found them in a book at our house in Sydney.

 

I have all of my old gig tickets in a box... did plan to put them in a picture frame one day. None as cool as the Clash tho!

 

I threw all of mine away on the way home. Nostalgia? Balls to it.

 

I sold mine on ebay, quids in .

 

I rowed one like this... it was a few years ago...

 

I have an unused Nirvana ticket, dated the day Kurt was found dead, they were supposed to be on in Dublin at the time.

I had him on bloody cover of the magazine I was editing at the time. Had to race in and change it overnight before the issue went to press.
Later on we ran a Hugh Grant interview talking in part about his happy private life - which came out on the day he was arrested with that hooker.

 

Thing is, I've forgotten half of the bands I went to see.
Only remembered seeing Meatloaf, Blue Oyster Cult & the Cure because an old friend was rattling on about the fun we'd had.

 

You're not the only one. I swore blind I'd never seen The Jesus and Mary Chain. Photographs from 1986 proved me wrong...
