Got a small leak (more like a weap than leak) from the gearbox where the gear leaver linkage connects to the gearbox.

Is it a gearbox out job to sort the leak out or can it be fixed in situ?

If it's box out, is it a big job or two bolts and a bit of a wiggle?

  2. They'll all leak a bit round the seal. Not a great drama. Gearbox out to change it.

Yup. I did a video a while ago showing the nose cone workings but as Snotty says if it's just a little weep don't worry about it. Just above where the rod enters the nose cone on the box is a 4mm breather hole. Make sure that's unblocked and clean. You can gently run a drill bit down it by hand to ream out any crap. Boxes pressurise if this is blocked and blow out oil for fun...
