hi all i am new to this so bear with me, i am after a good gearbox for my 78 westy 1600 with a ce code hope someone can help as mine is stuck in reverse at present thanks prefer midlands area if poss?
Being honest I think your bus will struggle with a 2.0 box unless you up the engine or are running tiny tyres such as smart car on the rear
ok well maybe you are right not sure how much taller the 2ltr box gearing is but mine will go off the clock as it is?
You problem will not be the flats, it is when it gets hilly or a long slight gradient where you'll end up in 3rd.
ok well thanks for the advise i would rather learn this way than fit one and find it won`t go up hills! maybe i will go down the sound proofing route and get another 1600 box then
