Gearbox for late bay 1700

If I buy a standard used late bay gearbox for my 1973 late bay which has a 1700 engine in would the gearbox off a 1600 engine limit my performance or top speed ?? Any help not up on gearboxes cheers

Clutch to suit flywheel.

 

1700 gearbox has the same ratios and final drive as the 1600 as far as I'm aware.
