Even though pickup is 2.0ltr FI from factory it had a 3rib box probably because it was for load carrying in Sweden rather than cruising. It's noisy and jumps out of 1st so needs replacing, don't want to pay 5 or 6 rib money and I can use my existing bellhousing and input shaft if necessary. What you got peeps?
hy dubber i currently have a gearbox condition unknown, and i would like a gearbox to suit mine a 1700cc ,i was going to take it to a gearbox specialist to get it checked but frightenend of the cost, so one thats working makes sense ,, code is ca 14122 or any one help
@geraldgerome I'll dig up the photo with the code on mine so you/someone can confirm its OK for you ... @Flakey How's the search going? http://s1144.photobucket.com/user/t...arts/IMG_20170213_192104_zpsbo6mk1x6.jpg.html (CE 9 02.5 ... or CE19 02.5 ... I think it says) which I think is for a 1600, but there's at least one other thread looking at compatability ... like the wanted post running at the moment ("Ash"?)
Sorry to all who replied to me, I've just got the engine fixed ok, will decide what I'm doing about the gearbox offers in the next few days, don't let me stop any other possible sales though Cheers
I have a decent box from my '72 only removed it on saturday to fit a 6 rib (better ratios for my motor). I need the bell housing and input shaft for the new box so that'll be missing. If you still need one and nothing else pans out it'll be available by the weekend. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Not wanting to hijack your thread but it's probably the best place to ask , I'am looking for a bellhousing , so I can bench test my 1600 .
Yeh as the servo has now decided to break I'm gonna have to wait till I've sold the T25 to release some funds for gearbox, should be about a month with a bit of luck!
