Gap under Steering Wheel

Nylocs are fine, I just prefer the metal ones.

Actually still do I need to tighten it up again

 

Aerolock, Nylocs or spring washers, whatever you have/want but fit the bolts from the top then if the nuts fall off you’ll still have steering. Other way up and the bolts could fall out.
