Help please After filling the tank and then driving for a couple of hours, if I stop in traffic the engine cuts out, I can hear the fuel pump working, if I then release the tank cap, air escapes, the pump refills and the engine runs again until it happens again. Any thoughts? Cheers
Have a look at where the yellow breather pipes meet in the engine compartment near the number plate light. Has someone just joined them together?
Yep its your breather pipes, check the flexible hose first & also the yellow pipe if they are OK then make sure one of the pipes in the vents haven't rusted away.
