Fuel tank breathers

  1. I think the specialist steam them or something before welding them
The only places that advertise doing work on them are somewhere in Hartlepool and somewhere in London

  2. rickyrooo1

rickyrooo1 Hanging round like a bad smell

my ex father in law used to fill them with sand then weld them himself, i think some people are over cautious.

  3. I've welded T25 tanks safely before after flushing out with water (a fast running hose) for half an hour, and then drying out with compressed air. As to the success of the repairs, that's another matter.

  4. Lowie dude

If you send it up to me with a new outlet ill weld it up for you for free
Im fine with making woodburners from bottles that once contained flammable gas and im fine with welding fuel tanks

    MK-Bay likes this.
  5. cheers for the offer @paradox dude
but its a time thing now as the new engine s arrival is pending and i need the bus on the road asap
i am going to make a breather similar to zeds at the weekend and leave the old system intact for the busses new owner to re fit if they feel the need to
just got to work out how to get it high enough
