So i bought a new sender from bigrich at coolair, plugged it in and it worked ok while parked on my drive, but as soon as i drove off on friday it stopped! confused dot com, any ideas?

there are only 2 wires on the sender, i fitted new lucars when i did it, it worked fine when i originally powered it up static on the drive then it failed on the move, the same happened with my original so i probably didn't need a new one......, i guess what i'm asking is there anything that can be loose behind the dash? when you touch the 2 wires together the gauge rises to full so i assumed nothing was wrong that end.

    Silver Needs points/will pay!

Have you got the gauge with the little vibrator thingy on the back, that's the only other component in that circuit. The other option is a damaged wire somewhere.
